Each fall the community hires a chipping service to grind up dead tree and brush trimmings to help with keeping a defensible fire space around homes. So we went and trimmed the dead off the Gambel Oak (we have 8 trees :-). There is no house there to defend from a wildfire, but we thought maybe trimming them would help their growth and health.
While L trimmed trees, I put a “No Trespassing” sign on an old Raleigh Pursuit frame, where the trail crosses through the property.
